Barèges

Théophile de Bordeu, French doctor an an important representative of th vitalism comes from the village Izeste in the Ossau valley . In his work « Research on the Waters in the Pyrenies …. » he tells the story of the « miracle » of Barèges. Wounded soldiers were healed there thanks to the waters of this place which, according to him, made the bullets come out from their bodies and a girl was healed from ulcer : « the waters took from ulcer a needle and gave back her health to this girl. »
